Anji White Tea (Anji Bai Cha) gets its "white" name from the albino leaves of the tea plant in early spring. Despite its name, this is actually a green tea. This unique tea comes from Anji County, Zhejiang Province. The leaves accumulate amino acids at levels 2-3 times higher than regular green tea. As a result, this tea is prized for its naturally sweet, smooth taste and complete lack of bitterness.
